"Women have the right to work everywhere," Sheikh Zayed believes. "Islam", he adds, "gives
women their rightful status, and encourages them to work in all sectors as long as they are afforded
the appropriate respect. The basic role of women is the upbringing of children, but, over and above
that, we have to support a woman who chooses to perform other functions."
